Project for the second term: presentation of a country or a city

In pairs, prepare a 10-15 minutes exposition about a country where the people speak English or a city from an English speaking country.

Prepare a PowerPoint with images to illustrate your exposition. You can also include videos or music.

Don't forget to talk about:

- Geographical situation

- Population

- Geographical features (sea, rivers, mountains)

- Climate

- Languages spoken

- Economy

- Art

- Music

- Food

- Type of government

- Important people

- and any other aspects that you may consider of interest

Don't forget to write the web pages where you found the information.

Music Project

In this project you are going to work in pairs. Follow the steps.

1. Find a partner that likes the same type of music.
2. Decide on a singer or group.
3. Decide on a song. Find the lyrics on the Internet.
4. Understand the meaning of  the lyrics. See if you like the song and if you can listen to the words of the song. If you don't like it, or if it is difficult to follow, choose another song.
5. Prepare a quiz about your singer or group, with questions for the other pairs. Write it on a word document or create a PowerPoint with the quiz.  Illustrate it with pictures.
6. Prepare an activity with the lyrics. It can be a fill-in-the gaps exercise or another activity you can design.
7. Give the two activities to the teacher before November 8th 2012.
